... to bump himself up from 1 down to 3 up. Especially since he had been down 2 for 3 straight days then down 1 (i.e. polling had been virtually flat until perhaps the last day or two).
I'd guess based on this leap that his Gallup Daily number will be up again tomorrow. And today's polling was mostly taken before the economy REALLY took hold as an issue again (before Monday's stock market close).
