OBAMA OPTIMISM THREAD: OPTIMISM ONLY!!!!
Looks like we eeked out 1 point over McCain in CNN's Poll of Polls.

Despite this, I still feel pessimistic. I don't want to - so please post something optimistic about this election!!!

One thing I heard was the number of Registrations for the Democratic party this year leaves us with a 66/33 lead over Republicans. And most of the new registrations were Democratic.

8. Palin's favorability is down 10 points in 3 days. Obama trending up in Gallup.
The media's calling the McCain camp on their pathological lying.

The Blackberry thing is making popular inroads.

The Palin bubble is bursting.

Oh, and Obama started September with $77 million cash on hand... which means that by now Obama has more money in the bank than McCain will have for the entire rest of the campaign.

11. Obama & Biden will fight any voter suppression. They've already filed suit in MI!
My greatest fear is another stolen election, but unlike Kerry and Gore, Obama and Biden won't be cowed into caving in. Plus we have slim majorities in Congress, and the tone of this election is decidedly different due to the faltering economy.

I have great HOPE that we will win!

12. Howard Dean has strengthened party infrastructure in many of the states where RNC stole votes
in past elections as they controlled every level of the election process where the votes are allowed, cast and counted with NO COUNTER from previous DNC's whose chairs looked the other way in 2000, 2002 and 2004.

Dems have muscles to flex in those states where they had ZERO before. States like Florida, Ohio, North Carolina - crucial electoral states.

15. Up by 2 in Gallup Daily (swung 7 pts in 8 days). New battleground polls looking good for Obama.
CNN/Time and CBS/NYTimes Battleground polls have Obama making serious headway and even leading in several states that had recently moved to McCain (see other posts here today). When their national polls come out, you can bet they'll have Obama over McCain, as a couple of other national polls have now shown.

Not only is the McCain (Palin) bounce DEAD as a DOORNAIL, but the Obama MOMENTUM has just begun!!!

Obama will be up by 5 averaged across all polls within a week.

Also -- Barack had a $9 million haul in Hollyweird. :)

Also -- NBC just called McFailin out on their lies.

Also -- CBS poll has Obama kicking butt.

Also -- We are going to (figuratively) bomb the Republicans back into the Stone Age come November.

30. November 5, 2008 Headlines:...
Barack Obama, Elected 44th President of the United States of America in Historic Election! The new article goes on to say how hard fought the campaign was, and how Arizona Senator, John McCain lost on his gamble in choosing an unknown Alaska governor, who was recalled by Alaska, due to an abuse of power scandal.

31. Remember: Obama knows how to win against the odds. He started primary season 30 pts behind and
had to overcome the race issue, the Muslim issue, the jihadist issue, etc. He knows how to win. All we have to do is stay positive and

Focus. Donate. Volunteer. Vote.

He has the Kerry states, plus Iowa and New Mexico, and Pennsylvania. And has a chance in Ohio and Florida, as well as Colorado and Nevada. Promising signs from Virginia and Missouri as well.

We're leading.

40. I get down too sometimes. Here are a few thoughts that help me to tap into inspiration
Think about the way a young African American family held themselves when they moved into the Obama group at our caucus. I couldn't take my eyes from them and the beauty of this moment for me was indescribable.

Think about 200,000 in Germany that day, who couldn't wait to hear Obama speak. They will forgive and embrace us again. I was so grateful we may once again earn the respect of the world.

Think about the goose bumps from Hillary's speech when she was channeling Harriet Tubman. The utter relief of hearing unity ring from the walls that night as the cheers rose and fell.

Think about the tears welling when Obama first walked out onto the beautiful stage at the DNC. When he raised his voice and said ENOUGH and took back patriotism for democrats. The gorgeous fireworks and his beautiful girls. Michelle.
