I think this trend is going to continue. Suzi Ormand says we are in as bad times as the depression.

10. Same here...
I was expecting another drop this week, but I thought it more likely to be Friday, and maybe around 300 points or so. This was a lot bigger (and sooner) than I thought.

9. About 450, 4%.
You get the first quick flush in the morning, then it circles the drain all day, before taking the final plunge in the last hour, when the traders have to move their orders.

Thanks to the crooks & liars in power & their cronies, I'm probably going to have to work until I die. My retirement account still hasn't recovered from when * took over. Now this.

13. This is clearly not good, but let's also have a little
perspective on this. The drop is around 4%, which definitely sucks. But I also remember the crash in October of '87,when I was very new to the workforce and was selling mutual funds, which was more than a 20% drop in a day or two based on issues that were even broader than this credit crunch. We recovered from that one fairly quickly, and there are a number of signs that this is mostly a liquidity/credit crunch, which will mean some tightening. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as both businesses and individuals are way too highly leveraged now. It'll be a bumpy few months, but once President Obama takes over, he'll get us on the right path quick. I'm hopeful that enough of us are smart enough to vote for him to save our country from this Pug-made morass.

15. Well, people who just lost everything probably have a pretty good
excuse for drinking themselves to death........

I guess this is the part where I'm glad that Bush already wiped out my savings and IRA a few years back.........I don't have anything more to lose except a small emergency fund and the business.
