He asked Wexler if he takes responsibility for the damage to the economy because the Democrats have been in power in the legislature for the last 2 years. Then he turned to Cantor and asked him if he takes responsibility for the last 8 years of Bush.

Regarding the Democrats, has the law changed regarding the fact that the President is the one who signs bills into law? Even if Democrats wanted to increase oversight and regulation of the financial markets and send bills to Bush, do they have the votes to override a presidential veto?
