Obama Airs Unusual Economy Ad- Politico
Let's DU the Buzz! Buzz it up at the bottom of the story, let's get it out there! The story gives a transcript as well as video.

Obama airs unusual economy ad
By MIKE ALLEN | 9/17/08 6:55 AM EDT Text Size:

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is airing an unusual two-minute TV ad about the economy, calling for “shared responsibility” and “real regulation” to rein in an “anything-goes culture on Wall Street.”

The ad is part of the campaign’s effort to respond confidently and convincingly to this weekend’s financial meltdown.

Two-minute ads are sometimes used in the opening or closing days of a campaign, but are rarely seen in the heat of the fall.

2. I think Obama is throwing that knock-out punch everyone's been
talking about. Remember....timing is EVERYTHING! He's taking advantage of the top news story in every part of the media, and the one thing that is on EVERYONE'S mind right now...today!

i know it's very expensive, but it's a good move!

5. As a Tivo user, I rarely ever see campaign ads on TV.
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 04:44 PM by msallied
But I will be keeping my eyes peeled to see if this one is getting any play. Of course, I live in a "safe" state, so it might not play as much here as say in Ohio...

Edited to ad that I think the add is spectacular. I watched it online this morning. Great stuff.

7. It's very presidential
Since the current prez isn't saying BOO, at least there's someone who's leading the way, and intelligently.

15. I think voters like to hear what politicians will do - this is a refreshing ad
this is a great ad and easy for the low information people to understand. This should go out to all the cable channels nationwide. Obama is coming over clear. McCain sounds very muddy.

19. Anyone who prefers McCain to Barack
is a crook or a wacko.

A whole bunch of McCain signs sprung up in our neighborhood yesterday -- there was only one previously. I told my partner that at least we knew where the mentally deranged people lived.
