PALIN Lies AGAIN! (If ya lie about the little things ....)
TODAY's VERSION: In her interview with Hannity to air tonight, Palin reportedly says:

On her family’s reaction to be picked as the VP nominee:
“It was a time of asking the girls to vote on it, anyway. And they voted unanimously, yes. Didn’t bother asking my son because, you know, he’s going to be off doing his thing anyway, so he wouldn’t be so impacted by, at least, the campaign period here. So ask the girls what they thought and they’re like, absolutely. Let’s do this, mom.”

Transcript from Time Mag.

CONFLICT #1: This is wholly inconsistent with her answer to Gibson, last week. Wwhen asked about her response to McCain's invitation to be VP, Palin said:

PALIN: I didn't hesitate, no.

GIBSON: Didn't that take some hubris?

PALIN: I -- I answered him yes because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink. So I didn't blink then even when asked to run as his running mate.

CONFLICT #2: This is wholly inconsistent with the "official" McCain/Palin story upon her announcement

On Thursday morning, Governor Palin and staff were joined by Mrs. Cindy McCain and later joined by John McCain at the McCain family home in Sedona, Arizona. At approximately 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 28, 2008, John McCain formally invited Governor Sarah Palin to join the Republican ticket as the vice presidential nominee on the deck of the McCain family home.

Later that morning...Governor Palin departed with staff to Flagstaff, Arizona. Governor Palin, ... proceeded to the Manchester Inn and Conference Center in Middletown, Ohio. They were checked into the hotel as the Upton Family. While there, Governor Palin’s children, who had been told they were going to Ohio to celebrate their parents’ wedding anniversary, were told for the first time that their mother would be a nominee for Vice President of the United States of America.

Fox News

As attention focused on those better-known members of the short list, Palin's family flew out of Anchorage on a Gulfstream jet. It touched down in Middletown about 10 p.m. Thursday.

Rather than risking being seen coming to McCain's hotel, the Palins and McCain's aides continued to the nearby Manchester Inn and Conference Center, where they checked in under another name. It was then that Palin's children, who had been told they were going to Ohio to celebrate their parents' wedding anniversary, also on Friday, were told for the first time that their mother would be a nominee for the vice presidency.

Like I said, if you lie about the little things .....

3. agreed = it's such a small, silly thing ...

...why make something up? Why not be clear? I can see ways that she could "wiggle out" of this one -- but it just LOOKS bad. She was trying, I'm sure, to get "mommy points" for the family meeting/vote thing .. but it is either an outright lie - or it's totally disingenuous (as in, she asked them once they were in Ohio, after she'd already decided - which is TOTALLY disingenous to her kids).

On edit: To be clear re: my thought, she'd either have to admit that she lied to Hannity ... or she lied to her kids (implicitly). I'm not sure which is worse.

2. If you don't lie, you don't have to remember what you said.
Don't we all know somebody like this? Don't we maybe put up with them but NEVER trust them?

12. Thank you for starting a thread on this.
I brought it up in another thread that concerned a different topic. But I thought it needed its own thread, so I'm glad you did it. It's becoming very clear that Palin is a compulsive liar. She just makes things up, as she goes along. It's breathtaking that she assumes she can just fabricate this so-called narrative and that nobody will test it for accuracy. I only hope the MSM will shock us all by doing their job and not letting her get away with it.

14. She's already in it up to her eyeballs on that one and the MSM is too scared to touch it.
Bristol gets pulled out of school, ostensibly due to mononucleosis, and sent to live with her aunt in Anchorage, where she continues her course work from home, for the next five months.

Sarah hides her pregnancy until the sixth month, then publicizes that she's due to have a handicapped child very soon.

Except for a couple of photos of her with a small baby bump, she never appears to be pregnant.

At the seventh month of pregnancy, she flies to Texas, where her water leaks, yet she goes about her business for the rest of the day, then takes a nine-hour flight to Anchorage and another one-hour drive to a hospital in Wasilla, which has no NICU, where she gives birth to a high risk, premature baby--all of this, supposedly, with the approval of her doctor.

Against the odds, the baby is of normal birth weight, and, within three days, the under-equipped, small-town hospital is somehow able to conduct all of the tests and evaluations necessary to rule out the many common birth defects and conditions found in Down Syndrome babies, allowing Sarah to return to work 600 miles away, in Juneau, immediately.

Cut to August.

It's announced that Bristol is now pregnant.

Strangely, she has the breasts of a nursing mother, rather than those of a first-time pregnant teen aged girl.

Considering all of the above, it doesn't make sense that Sarah had the baby. It does make sense that Bristol did. But we mustn't touch this story. It's just too crazy to be true. And the DU scolds and nannies have told us how terrible we are for discussing it.

15. We'll all know if Bristol "miscarries" her likely fictitious baby. Due to the stress of the campaign
of course.

17. One thing puzzles me...
On the one hand, the "tell-all" email from someone in Alaska who supposedly knows dang near everything there is to know about Palin says, "There is no cover-up here, Trig is her baby." This person is a near-hero on DU. Is she to be believed when she says there's no cover-up, or not?

21. two things
7 months she told and didnt appear preg. by 8 months when she had the baby, having enlarged the amount in one month one week what takes all preg women to do in 4, 5, 6 months to do, she had the premature baby.

AFTER

leaking 4am calling doctor..........

i hear ya

the reason alone for daughter not being in school for 5 months? what i have seen since could have been anything, including out of control daughter. they had same problem with son and shipped him out for a while.

i dont know what the story is, but every step of the way she put herself before her children.

23. Palin is EXACTLY like bush!
Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 06:41 AM by mwb970
It is positively eerie how this woman's every instinct is exactly the same as the chimp's. She is as close to a clone of our worthless president as it is possible to imagine.

In this case we see that, just like bush, she lies reflexively, automatically, even when it's not necessary, even when the lie makes her sound worse than the truth would have. It's as if she and bush (and McCain, for that matter) have a personal commitment to hiding behind a false persona and being dishonest, phony, and fake about every single thing they say or do.

What kind of life is that?

24. I think she STOLE the story from Jill Biden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was listening to Jill Biden's speech on September 13th in Dubuque, Iowa. When she told the story of how their family voted on whether Joe should run with Sen. Obama or not, I thought it was such an awesome way to make that decision. So unlike, what I had heard about Palin's "shock and awe" method with her children. It made me respect the Biden family so much more.

If you want to hear the story go here and start around 3:05
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwjYMFrJXfc

So when I heard Palin's new story...I immediately thought..."Hey I've heard that before!" :o
Perhaps Palin heard the same speech and decided she liked that better. I wouldn't put it past her at all. :eyes:

Wouldn't it be lovely (and ironic) if PLAGERISM of a Biden speech was one of the final stones to sink Palin.
