LMAO!! ReThugs now think Romney would have been better than Palin |
|
because of the economic collapse now Palin's inexperience is now a liability. Now the GOP, according to Mike Murphy (MSNBC) wish that they had Romney's experience in the ticket compared to Sarah's inexperience (and her growing scandals) Could it be possible that soon Sarah may join Gramm, Carly, and Cantor under the bus?

15. Yep - Romney was the doomsday pick ... |
|
I am totally confident that:
1) The media WOULD have annointed it the "perfect ticket" with McCain the UNQUESTIONED foreign policy "expert" and Romney the UNQUESTIONED economic "guru."
2) While I think most Mormons are probably Rs to begin with, Romney would have totally activated them and got them out to a man and all 9 wives on election day, and as noted, might have helped to fend off BO in some of the western states he is making a run at AS WELL as Michigan.
My gut as has told me from day one, Palin was FAR too unqualifed and had FAR too much baggage, that in the end she almost assuredly would be a net negative. Conversly, I was VERY, VERY worried about Mitt. I said before the choice, if McCain WANTED to win, he had to get past his ego and bring Romney in. Not only could he not bring himself to bring in Romney, he had to go to someone completely unaccomplished AND had a strong viagra kick with it.

21. It was dumb of them to announce the VP pick more than 2 weeks before the election |
|
They should have just nominated a "mystery candidate" at the convention, and then held out until late October to make the announcement. Then the novelty would be riding high still, and none of the many, many, many bad things and embarassments would have time to be revealed.
Bad timing McSame.

54. Romney pandered to the fundies even more than Mccain has... which is why he lost |
|
Romney started off as a moderate fiscal conservative from the northeast.
He got way way way ahead in 2007.
Then he started flip flopping, pandering to the religious right, and tried to reinvent himself as the Lord of the Social Conservatives. Now he's become the poster child for the far-right and even called TODAY'S supreme court "liberal" at the convention. Crazy talk.
The Romney of 2007 would have not only won the GOP primary but would have absolutely destroyed either Obama or Clinton if he had stayed the course.
His speech at the convention was a 2012 stump speech, and his attack on Mccain this week was an official statement that Mccain's fair game for him and others.

56. Who was it who said Palin's economics expertise was based on her being a homemaker? |
|
It was in the first couple of days that I saw this posted on DU and then saw it on television. It was at the time that Cindy McCain first said Palin knew foreign policy because she lived next to Russia and after Bay Buchanan said Palin's foreign policy expertise came from the fact her son was going to Iraq.
I think it was Barbara Bush but I can't find a link. Someone had the incredible nerve to proclaim that Sarah Palin had extensive expertise in economics because she was a mom and homemaker, who had to balance her checkbook and keep track of family expenses. It was another weird "am I stoned or are they really saying this?" moment.
