Sarah Palin, in a Q&A with Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity that airs tonight, stands by her man -- John McCain -- in the recent dust-up over his comment about the “fundamentals” of the economy.
And, just as he has since (in the view of most) ill-advisedly uttering that remark, she doesn't mince words in discussing the turmoil that has rocked Wall Street this week.
But Hannity elicits perhaps the most intriguing answer from Palin when he wraps up the first of two interview segments by asking if she had seen Tina Fey unveil her satirical impersonation of the Republican vice presidential nominee on this past weekend's "Saturday Night Live."
Our own Dish Rag blog had reported Tuesday that Palin, who was on a campaign plane at the time, had watched and, through a spokeswoman, declared it "quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween."
Palin elaborates for Hannity: She watched, but she didn't listen. That's because she had "the volume all the way down." Later, she reiterates: "Again, didn't hear a word she said..."
