Please don't get cocky.
We have been having a good week, but there is still much work to do.

There are still a lot of undecideds out there.

2. Celebrating a return to issues and watching the McP campaign stumble is not cocky
It's a relief to see real issues being discussed again.

3. I haven't encountered "cocky", but I have encountered "snippy"...
I can't put my finger on it, but averse reactions here and there to innocent comments.

So let me chime in with a,

"Please don't get cocky or snippy."

We're all fighting for the same thing here...the infighting among us over details is frustrating, we don't win that way.

6. Agreed...

This has been a great week for the campaign, but a lot of it is based on the current economic crisis. Unless we're headed for another Great Depression, it's likely Wall Street will level out soon, and the panic resulting from daily 500-point drops (O.K., I exaggerate...a bit) won't weigh as heavily on voters' minds as they do at the moment, pushing them toward us.

On the bright side, McCain's convention bounce is pretty much gone, as is the resulting narrative that would allow McCain to take on an "inevitable" quality for the next 48 days that would be every bit as fatal to our chances as any actual campaign events.

We have a slight lead right now. That may see-saw throughout the rest of the race, but at least we're no longer playing from behind. And a basically-even race is one we can win, given enough effort from all of us.
