Nice article about Joe Biden on the campaign trail.
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/18/joe_biden_enjoying_the_campaig.html

He stays behind at each event to shake hands and takes pictures with anyone who wants, and he's brought his personal touch on the road -- close-talking, back-tapping and kissing older women on the cheek.

He occasionally tosses a football on the tarmac before he takes off to his next city. His speeches include loads of references to his days playing high school football, quotes from his mother and father and his favorite terms: "literally" (usually when he means "figuratively"), "ladies and gentlemen" and "I mean this sincerely."

I can't get enough of hearing about Joe Biden. He seems genuinely happy. I am so thrilled for him! :)

3. I wish I could see him. One of the pitfalls of living in a blue state is no one ever comes here!

11. I saw him today-- got to shake his hand for a brief second-- he does know how to work the ladies!
(He told me I had beautiful eyes, lol!) I'm still not quite back down to earth. And he did exactly as the article described--- stays around and lets every last attendee with a camera or cell phone get a snapshot with him. For free, as were the tickets to the rally.

Palin fundraiser in the same town the other day:

To get in the door, you must donate $2,500 to the Republican National Committee or raise $2,500 from other people. To get a picture taken with Palin, a couple must give $10,000 or raise $10,000. To meet Palin at a private reception before the main event, a couple must raise or contribute $25,000. Unless you're an extremely influential Republican or a guest of someone who's fulfilled one of these requirements, it's very unlikely you'll be admitted. As of Sunday, the event was closed to the press.

4. And I like how he says "literally"
He enunciates the "t." It sounds classy and kind of Irish. ;-)

5. that was fun - and this is classic Biden:
"My staff says we have time for one more question, so let's take three more," he declared at a recent rally.
