Your youtube link was my first exposure to it. It's strange, but that's not a bad thing. Still trying to work it out in my mind, like a good movie.

Did the artist or someone from the group die recently or something?

Color me clueless. I kinda liked it but have been exposed to too much pedestrian/guaranteed to sell "artists" over the past couple of years, and perhaps closed off my senses--but this left me wanting to explore.

I thought it was a lot longer than 2000. It seems like ages ago. Strange stuff.

You might want to check out college radio. That's what I spend 90% of my internet connection doing. There's nothing like no commercials, and endless music that you've never heard before. MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, among others. I've been hooked for thirty years. It took me years to actually mature into it. I can't live without it now.

But this youtube is a video I saw long after hearing the tune.

I've seen Count Basie. I've been in a small room with Art Blakey and his band. And yet I love the Germs, and almost all punk. I span the spectrum. I'm listening to Wagner and Schuman right now. As long as it's good. Good is hard to quantify. Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys is good. The stuff George Bush listens to is probably crap.

College radio has been off my radar for awhile, as, sadly, has most music. I always love to see/hear/experience the unexpected, but our culture is designed to protect us from the new, ie, scarrrry.
