Sarah Palin said yes, thanks, to a road to nowhere in Alaska

While seeking votes, she told Ketchikan residents she backed the 'bridge to nowhere.' As governor, she spent the money elsewhere and moved ahead with a $26-million road to the nonexistent bridge.

1. Yup.. I can still remember her pushing for the bridge to nowhere.. In fact...

.. people here in Anchorage are completely dumbfounded that she's now claiming to have ever said "Thanks, but no thanks".

What total and complete BULLSHIT.

The legislature shot down the bridge, plus it became an extremely controversial issue among Alaskans..

So controversial that once she became governor, she decided not to try and push it through the legislature for fear that her honeymoon period would fizzle out.

She did however keep the earmarked $$$$ for the bridge..

2. Did they at least put in a ferry?
Or is the road dead ending at the shore line?

3. As I understand it, Unlike the bridge money....
She would have had to return the money to the Fed if they didn't build the road.
Can't just send that reformed earmarked pork barrel back, now could she?

Hahahahaha
