They want to come after Michelle for the "cute" comment? She has more character than Cindy or Todd
combined.

Todd=a secessionist who refuses to testify

Cindy=a drug stealing and addicted former mistress

Michelle=an Ivy league trained lawyer and devoted mother.

Michelle Obama: Don't Vote For Her Because 'She's Cute'

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Michelle Obama asked voters Thursday to make their choice on the issues, not because, "I like that guy" or, "she's cute."

Might she be talking about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin?

"I'm talking about me," she said with a smile.

Barack Obama's wife, however, is not on the ticket in the presidential election. Palin is.

6. Good Gawd...
and this is what has people's heads spinning? So what! Who's upset about it? THE REPUBLICANS. And we care about that --why?

Like I always say; fuck em if they can't take a joke.

One thing I think people, who are in panic mode need to remember, democrats and those who have made up their minds, are not going to change it over something as insignificant as this. They're just not. And, I doubt anyone sitting on the fence will just abandon thoughts of voting for Obama either.

This is a non issue I think.

4. The Reader's Digest Condensed Version....
Michelle was speaking in NC...she asked that we not vote based on "I like him" or "She's cute"...and then she said "and I'm talking about me"...but most MSM aren't including the "and I'm talking about me" part of what she said...

36. The DLC did not help Bill Clinton when he lost the house and Senate in the 90's
The DLC's time has come and gone in terms of power in the presidency. Obama and Biden are the first non DLCrs since the 90's to be the Dems major party candidates. I guess the DLC not having influence on the major party candidate is getting to you.

15. Well you know how the GOP and the DLC view Black folks. . .
. . .and the fact that a Black man (Harold Ford) is in charge is meaningless. I like Ford but when it comes to the issues of race he is clueless.

29. Someone who understands race. He didn't grow up in Memphis, in a Black neighborhood. . .
. . .he went to a prestigious school in DC. I do not begrudge him that but if you look at his background and track record it says nothing about him being able to deal with race. Don't act like a Republican and assume that just because a person is Black that he or she knows or understands issues of race. There are ton of white folks who have a better understand of the role of race in politics than Ford does.

Hey if he runs for Governor of Tennessee I will support him, but he does not understand the issue of race.

38. Then please explain "the issues of race" and how...
All someone has to do is grow up in a Black neighborhood in Memphis to
understand your version of race issues? Please explain because you bring up a good point but
you are being very vague.

25. No worries
If we've learned one thing, it's that these little digs at candidates live on long past the criticism for making them. Republicans have been doing this successfully for ages. In two days, the criticism of Michelle Obama for this will be gone, but the idea that people are voting for McBush/Failin because she's cute will live on.

Republicans have been pushing the "she's hot" theme, not the Democrats. It makes the Republicans look foolish, especially in this time of economic crisis, and no one wants to be associated with fools. People whose first instinct may have been to vote for McBush/Failin because she's cute, will rethink. Hopefully, they won't be able to come up with an alternate reason and will give thought to the Democratic ticket. In the long run, no one wants to be made a fool.

At least, I hope I'm right about this.

them in the first place. The DLC motto that "You must act like a Republican to win elections" has been proven wrong time after time.

39. Michelle said NOTHING. This whole thing is contrived and STUPID!
If it hadn't been this comment, it would have been something else.

The only thing that would be safe is if she said nothing at all, and then the MSM would make something out of that.

To the posters up thread who say she Michelle should watch what she says, I call bullshit.

Apply the first two sentences to your brain and repeat if necessary until you get it right.

What she said was nothing, NOTHING.

This is so stupid. STUPID
