Andrew Sullivan. Palin Collapse Continues

Moulitsas notes a staggering 21 point decline in a week. On 9/11, Palin had a 52 - 35 favorable - unfavorable rating. She now has a 42 - 46 favorable - unfavorable rating. She went from + 17 to - 4 in a week. Kos says this proves that the focus on her constant lying, religious fanaticism, spectacular stupidity, ignorance of basic facts even on energy, total unawareness of and interest in foreign policy and inability to hold a press conference was a strategy worth pursuing.

I agree but not for partisan reasons. My concern with Palin is merely to expose the truth about her in the face of an historically unprecedented campaign of seclusion, press intimidation and constant, constant lies.

1. On my forgiveness meter, Sullivan is now at 40%...still needs to work on it.

2. He is a Conservative and that is not going to change
He hates the neo-cons, and that is a good thing. And he deserves major kudos for his relentless pounding on Palin's lies and deceptions. But always understand that he is right of center and going to stay that way. (Right of center, except for gay marriage, of course. I do dislike people who always seem to be able to make room for their own selfish interests. If he were straight, I'd bet the rent he'd find no Constitutional basis for gay marriage.)

3. There's room in our world for honest Conservatives
I don't agree with them but I don't think all Conservatives should be banished. Republican partisans, however, that's a different story, and there are far, far more of them.
