Sarah Palin: Daimonizomai & Belief in Powerful Demon Possession

by Morton Montgomery
Fri Sep 19, 2008 at 08:56:13 AM PDT
IMAGINE THIS: Sarah Palin can look into the eyes of Putin and discern a demon--"the spirit that may motivate people who are not indwelt by the Holy Spirit."

Sarah, as potential Commander-in-Chief and as the holy right’s Christian-in-Chief, will take her 30 year upbringing in the Assemblies of God teachinga and beliefs with her into the War Room.

What is in Palin's beliefs structure which should utterly alarm ordinary Americans and those various elites in business and the military?

The doctrinal beliefs are explained on an Assemblies of God official website: Demon Possession: Can Born-Again Believers be Demon Possessed? (Official A/G Position Paper) Here it clearly and unequivocally stated:

(The)New Testament does more than command to preach Christ. It warns very definitely against the enemy of our souls (Beelzebub or Satan) and shows that demons are not to be treated lightly. It also emphasizes that deliverance is available through the "finger of God," the power of the Spirit, and the name of Jesus."

Morton Montgomery's diary :: ::
The AoG doctrinal statement continues:

There is a danger, however, when emphasizing any neglected doctrine, to go to an extreme which is beyond the intent of the Scriptures. It is also possible to beside-tracked into making the neglected doctrine the whole ministry. This seems to be the case with some who become fascinated with the subject of demonology. They are trapped into giving most of their attention to it. The more demons they cast out, the more there seem to be to cast out, and the rest of their ministry is practically ignored.

This tendency to become more occupied with casting out demons than with exalting Christ seems inconsistent with the balance of Scripture. Also there seems to be no basis in Scripture for the accompanying preoccupation with external phenomena, such as vomiting up various substances in connection with the casting out of demons(forgetting that demons are spirit beings). In the one instance in which foaming is mandated, Scripture makes it clear that this was a consistent pattern prior to the time the demon was cast out and not a phenomenon occurring only at the time of exorcism

In a special service at Wasilla, Sarah Palin, in front of a crowd of over 6,000, submitted to the anointing and blessing of a Kenyan witchhunting evangelist who made a name for himself casting out demons.

Sarah was said to have received special blessings to pursue her political career and rise above evil.

Just think what that means when and if Palin is elevated to the vice presidency, which, with the age of McCain and his hardship life and recurring cancers is a very high probability. President Palin.

Now we have a "true believer" contending for office whose beliefs are far beyond that of born again George W. Bush, who can not only look into Putin’s eyes and see his soul, but is so attuned to the presence of evil as to "discern" that Putin may be possessed of demons.

If that does not scare you, what will?

You can take Palin out of the Wasilla circle of Assemblies of God practitioners, but you cannot take Assemblies of God wackamo radicalism (such as speaking in unknown tongues, psychological babble, and the fear, loathing, and demon chasing so deeply a part of Sarah’s religiously colored worldview) out of Sarah!

.

Religious extremism and enthusiasm such as the Salem Witch Trials are not unfamiliar to liberal arts educated Americans. The Founding fathers, looking down from the balustrade of Heaven, must certainly shutter at the prospect of a return to religious terror and illogical seizure of power to do battle with"real evil" and personal demons which are a actual threat, Palin's Assemblies of God believes, to all others.
