The confusion: large government and deregulation

Republicans, specifically Palin and McSame are doing a good job continuing to try to sell the Brooklyn Bridge to the American public today, and I guess an advisor or a focus group told him to sound angry about it. Today he sounds not so much angry-but crazy and alzheimeresque.

The mccain palin soundbite of choice today (again it is required that you suspend disbelief to go for this one...like a disney retreat), is that "Washington insiders" are to blame for the financial meltdown and you can't get any farther from Washington than Alaska where you can actually see Russia from your window. I plan to go to the PTA meeting tomorrow night for executive experience as well, and will probably opt for running for chief executive if there is time between hockey and the grocery store. (TODD??Is that Rosanna SNL?)

We need regulation. Why? Because human nature and specifically corrupt republican human nature dictates that you can't trust the wolf in the hen house and countless other charming and homespun analogies like putting lipstick on a pig, which I do visualize everytime I see Caribou Barbie and her odd senseless beauty queen explanations for world events. Veryvery chilling that some 50% of american see this as a good idea. ("Lets elect the intellectually challenged because I want to have a beer with her or worse...")

Simply this problem was crafted by McCain and his rotten cronies and I really can't watch the spin....today he sounds shrill and silly and scary. Obama sounds thoughtful and intelligent, and well, thats not good for getting elected.
