Norah: Obama is calm, McCain appears panicky
Chris Cillizza (WaPo) were talking about the response to the economic crisis by both candidates and that it looks like Obama got the better of it because he looked calm and Presidential whereas McCain looked panicky especially after using language like "the fundamentals of the economy are sound". Thank you Norah.

10. Hell I think I am ready to debate McCain.
The most unprepared Democrat could debate circles around him at this point. I truly believe he has lost the remainder of his depleted marbles.

presidential and has such an encompassing grasp of these problems, well I don't hold out much hope. Obama is receiving calls from Europe (France) on what his expectations/actions will be when he takes office. That's very telling on who's more presidential. I doubt McCain's received any calls. I don't have that video clip from France but will look for it and post...

3. No drama Obama
Temperment is teh issue of the election.

McCain looks like he wants it to be over with - reading his notes constantly, sounding tired, sounding lost.

4. YES! I've been saying this. McCain has the WRONG temperament for the job.
It's THAT simple.

6. No doubt since all of the conservative republican principles of economy..
just came crashing down around us, and they all ran to the safe warm net of socialism as fast as they could. Now they've got to some how spin their way out of it.

9. Temperament - One of the major things I love about Obama -
It will take him far with - foreign affairs - reaching across the aisle - bringing this country together - etc etc. A born leader. This country is yearning for leadership, and Obama can provide it.

13. Irony
The Republicans spent four days hammering home to the American people that from their view, this election should not be about issues, but about "character", how character was far more important than the daily "and no doubt transient" problems that we were facing. Yet in the end, it's Obama who's basically remaining calm, cool and collected, staying abreast of the crises as they come and keeping his own campaign honest, if increasingly hard-biting. McCain's now being called a liar, an incompetent, a poor decision maker and a fool, not by his opponent but by the very media that should have been practically fawning upon him at this stage, and his vice presidential choice is facing both personal and political scandals every time she appears in public. In other words, the election has indeed turned out to be about "character", and its surprising just how much more of it Obama has than McCain. Ooops.
