Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain's Straight Talk Express plane landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at about 10:45 a.m. today.
They landed at MSP because the Boeing 757 plane could not land at the Anoka County-Blaine Airport where he is scheduled to address a rally at noon.
McCain, his running mate, Sarah Palin, and her husband, Todd Palin, got off the plane about 10:50 a.m. and were greeted on the tarmac by six local residents: Louis Suski, Dixie Suski, Francis Cheung, John Kriesel, William Austin and Tani Austin.
McCain and Palin spent about five minutes talking to the greeters before climbing onto the Straight Talk Express bus at 10:57 a.m. and heading for Blaine.
