6. They're discussing it now. David Corn talking with Shuster. Completed!
Corn just said a REPUB. in AK thinks it's embarrassing that the McCain campaign is trying to squash the investigation.

18.  If people don't respond to subpoenas, can't they just deliberate based on the ones who do testify?
Let me know what they say. I can't watch right now. Thanks!

2. Is it Lyda Green?
I sure hope so. She's a Republican and she absolutely despises Sarah Palin.

He's had a couple of really excellent pieces. I'm not sure if the first one made it out onto the nationals, but I read it on ProgressiveAlaska.

Troopergate probe to end before election

By MATT VOLZ
The Associated Press

Published: September 19th, 2008 12:07 PM

The Alaska lawmaker in charge of the abuse of power investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin promises the probe will be finished before the election, after all.

State Sen. Hollis French said today the investigator's report on the governor will be completed by Oct. 10, even though key witnesses won't testify.

None of the people ordered to testify today showed up. The McCain campaign, Palin and her allies have been working to delay the investigation until after the election. They say it's become a political fight.

Investigators are seeing whether Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate, improperly fired her public safety commissioner after he wouldn't fire a state trooper who went through a nasty divorce from Palin's sister.

Media and onlookers including Rep. Kurt Olson, left, Sen. Fred Dyson and Rep. Carl Gatto
await Sen. Hollis French at a scheduled Senate Judiciary Committee meeting
Friday morning September 19, 2008 at the Legislative Information Office downtown.
No subpoenaed witnesses appeared to testify in the Troopergate investigation.

20. Of course you can U silly girl! .. BTW... having this done by Independent Investigator...
.
.

...Steve Branchflower is far better than having it handed off to the state personnel board!!

This is actually good news because I don't think Branchflower will cave in to all the pressure being put on him by the Bush/McLame lawyers crawling all over the state.

At least, I hope he doesn't.

"Oh Shit. And I spent a fortune on lawyers!!"

I worked on many cases with him on the other side when he was a DA. He doesn't mess around.

17. Larissa, don't you think
that all the "Outside" interference is going to make Hollis French, Lyda Green and others dig their heels in even harder? I think Sarah's going to REALLY regret this little adventure once she comes back here. One term, maybe?

25. Yep.. But what I'm really hoping..
.
.

is that Investigator Branchflower is so fed up with the crap the McLame idiots are spewing up here (including Anchorage's own Meg Stapleton) that he exposes the entire truth of how much she lied when his report comes out!!

So what might have been a minor scandal has been blown up now. Oooh man, I think it's gonna be quite a showdown.

15. Branchflower has already talked to several witnesses.
If the state employees refuse to testify, then he'll write up a report based on what he knows.

But I doubt some people will give a rats ass. They seem to enjoy voting for criminals.

Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 06:00 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
and that Palin leaned on the work comp board to get it denied. Has this witness been interviewed in the media?

So McManipulator's camp pissed of the Alaska State Legislature, and they are rushing through their findings?

GOOD. I'm thrilled that they won't let the manipulation stop them.
