clear that women voters - who until this week were apparently the only constituency that mattered - were swinging back toward Obama big time?

We've lost interest in the baby peas . . . lost interest in the baby peas.

1. I noticed that too
How convenient of the media to do this now. Where is Chuck Todd and the rest of the talking heads screaming from the rough tops that McCain is losing women? Doubt they ever go their. It's only a problem if it's Obama coming up short in women in whatever poll they want to say is legit at the time.

3. Ain't that the truth
Just like they NEVER talk about how McCain can't get any black people to vote for him.

Can you imagine what they'd be saying if Obama's rallies were filled with nothing but black people? No one would even take him seriously. But McCain and his sidekick run all around the countryside doing 5 shows a day to all-white audiences and all we hear about is how beautifully they "connect" with "regular" people."

2. We aren't stupid
We know pandering when we see it. We can also recognize an empty suit when we see it, whether the body in that suit is male or female doesn't matter.

4. We're only important when we follow the media narrative.
No one is interested in women who make their own decisions. :eyes:

12. Compare the coverage of Lady de Rothschild to any coverage of ...
... Republicans supporting Obama.

5. Well, the fact that large numbers of women are turning to Obama despite the media's silence
must mean the tide really is turning in that regard. It's clear that people are really paying attention to this race and they aren't waiting for the media to tell them how to vote.

6. Let's not forget the constant drone of "Obama can't close the deal with white voters" but never hear
that "McCain can't close the deal with black voters"....focking media makes me sick.

8. Exactly!
It's major news worth months of coverage that Barack Obama has not managed to get every single white person in America to vote for him. But the fact that John McCain can't seem to get a single black person to vote FOR him isn't even worth mentioning.

10. The MSM is full of BS
http://www.gallup.com/poll/108022/Candidate-Support-Gender.aspx

According to Gallop tracking by gender, there never was a female swing to McCain with the Palin VP pick.

11. Same could be said of "Obama's Latino problem", eh?
Do you remember the punditry speaking of crisis for Obama over a lack of Latino support? Nary a whisper in months.

Yet we never hear anything about McCain's problem with Libertarians, or the 10,000+ shadow convention they held in Minneapolis during the RNC.

Damn liberal media.

13. effie
i am glad you did this post. last week when you did your other post, i was one that was bothered. i was bothered because i thought they were manipulating it to something that it wasn't and it just seemed like we were once again buying it when it wasn't true. kinda like the puma phenomenon that was suppose to take down the dem convention.

but you are right. now they will not make the big deal that they were wrong like they did promoting something that wasn't. and

i am so glad women aren't so very stupid.

15. Yep, I only remember like one news story on the Latino vote, months ago
The only story on who's winning the latino vote I remember was a week or two after Hillary dropped out of the race, saying that Obama had a 3 to 1 lead among Hispanics rather then the 2 to 1 lead Kerry/Gore had.

That news story was just one article at politico.com.
