McCain recruits expert Southern lawyer to handle Palin's state trooper fiasco.
Wasilla- Reeling from plummeting poll numbers and a rapidly developing corruption scandal, sources inside the McCain campaign have told reporters that the McCain campaign has hired a top Georgian law expert. The lawyer has not yet been named, but alledgedly, according to certain sources, goes by the name "Maaaaatloooock." We have been unable to confirm this at press time. Rumors began flying after the press obtained an internal McCain campaign memo which included the cryptically phrased line, "Lookit here son, I say son, did ya see that hawk after those hens? He scared 'em! That Rhode Island Red turned white. Then blue. Rhode Island. Red, white, and blue. That's a joke, son. A flag waver. You're built too low. The fast ones go over your head. Ya got a hole in your glove. I keep pitchin' 'em and you keep missin' 'em. Ya gotta keep your eye on the ball. Eye. Ball. I almost had a gag, son. Joke, that is."

McCain campaign sends lawyer to Alaska to shut down ‘Troopergate’ investigation.»

On September 2, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) filed an ethics complaint against herself with the state’s Personnel Board in an effort to move the “Troopergate” investigation from the state’s legislature to the three-member board she oversees. Yesterday, Ed O’Callaghan, a former U.S. Attorney that the McCain campaign sent to Alaska to advise Palin’s lawyers on the case, said Palin “is 100 percent going to cooperate with the Personnel Board inquiry.”

McCain was rebuked for his poor judgment during the Keating five mess, the senate ethic committee didn't feel they had jurisdiction to punish Senator McCain because when he took his bribes he had been a congressman, a dodge but that was their reason. My guess it really had more to do with the fact that he was the only republican caught in the net.
