Planned Parenthood flooded with donations in Sarah Palin's name!

A couple days ago, someone posted this idea (sorry I am lousy at seraching but thank you to the DUer who came up with this!)

So I copied it and sent it out in an email to every women on my email list.


Subject: Fwd: a brilliant idea for $10


Instead of (in addition to?) us all sending around more emails about
how horrible she is, let's all make a donation to Planned Parenthood.
In Sarah Palin's name.

And here's the good part: when you make a donation to PP in her
name, they'll send her a card telling her that the donation has
been made in her honor. Here's the link to the Planned
Parenthood website:

You'll need to fill in the address to let PP know where to send
the "in Sarah Palin's honor" card. I suggest you use the address
for the McCain campaign headquarters, which is:

PS make sure you use that link above or choose the pulldown of
Donate--Honorary or Memorial Donations, not the regular "Donate
Online"

And today I got this reply from one of the women I emailed:

I called Planned Parenthood just now and they are flooded with these donations. They did not need for me to give them the address of where it went.

5. At work today, I answered the phone and the woman on the other end, who

I know well in a business context, said "Can I ask you a personal question? Are you an Obama supporter?" (These were the first words out of her mouth). When I told her yes, she started telling me all about sending a donation to Planned Parenthood. She had gotten an email and had just made her donation. I started laughing and told her that I had already done so and thought it was a great grassroots effort.

So it is everywhere.
