Rachel Maddow Continues to Dominate in the Ratings
Usually it takes some time to build a solid audience with news/talk programs whether on TV or radio. Rachel Maddow has grown a significant audience for MSNBC in a very short amount of time. Source: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/

Her show continues to dominate and has been overall the highest rated MSNBC program on a daily basis even beating KO. Granted she is not beating KO by much, but rather amazing in such a short amount of time. H & C on Fox still rule in the ratings at 9PM Eastern but they have dropped overall from a few years back. Plus this week they have had teh Palin interviews on the air so ratings have been inflated.

The greatest news is that MSNBC buries that turd Glenn Beck.

1. I am thrilled for Rachel and she seemed so shy and cute when Keith mentioned it

yesterday. I hope it continues because it would give me an enormous amount of pleasure if she beat H and C.

2. H & C are usually around 800,000 cume audience 25-54
She has been hitting in the low 600,000 range which is huge for cable news shows. It is doable that she could end up beating them at some point which would be great.

3. MSNBC is not on everyone's basic cable.
Comcast took it off here in the Northeast 6 months ago. I wonder if this contributes to Fox's higher ratings? Just a theory.

4. It could
We'd have to know how many people have basic cable only versus full cable or dish.

5. I definitely think it does
Imagine if MSNBC was in same tier as Faux and CNN.

6. My parents just had to pay $11 more a month to get digital cable
and MSNBC. Some people can't afford an addition $132 per year, so I think that CNN and Faux reaches far more households unfortunately.

7. She is fantabulous.
I am so in awe of her awesomeness.

She is the greatest new tv show anchor I have ever seen.
