I think it is going to be an ass kicking like we have never see before.

I think McDiapers will get mad, do the creepy laugh, make fun of Obama.

I think he will misspeak a bunch and look old and out of touch!!

This place should be fun next Friday night!

2. I predict that if McCain gets mad on camera
and starts his dithering pouty act we will have 10 pt lead in the polls the next day.

5. 2004's debate is the only reason Kerry made the race close.
Prior to the first debate, he was down 9 points to Bush and shortly after, in the same poll, he was tied.

If it weren't for the 2004 debates, Kerry would have lost like Dole in 1996.

8. If Obama performs as well as Kerry did in his first debate vs. Bush, we'll be elated.
Obama needs to appear presidential, concise, clear, convincing and compelling, like Kerry was in that first debate vs. Bush in 2004.

12. More to the point...
...he's got to convince the American people, despite the current reigning meme that "the surge worked," that the Iraq war was still a mistake and that we need to get out. And he needs to do it in short, concise phrases, instead of the paragraphs he normally uses. But make no mistake...the first debate is going to be the most difficult of all for us, and the place where McCain has the best hope of "landing a knockout blow." Obama has to be real careful, and real smart, in how he handles himself next week.

10. The first debate is going to be on foreign policy...
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 10:08 PM by regnaD kciN
...which means that we should expect a steady drumbeat of "surge victory surge Obama was wrong I was right surge experience 9/11 victory retreat-and-defeat Democrats surge victory surge surge surge." :eyes:

Seriously, don't expect an "ass-kicking" from our side. This first debate is McCain's best (and possibly last) chance to swing the election his way. If we can hold our own, and not have the whole election turn into a referendum of "victory with McCain" versus "capitulation with Obama," we'll be doing fine. The final debate is on the economy and domestic policy, and that's where the "ass-kicking," if any, will take place. If we can come out of the aftermath of the first debate still ahead, we'll be in good shape for the remainder of the race. But I get the feeling that Obama, before he goes on offense, is going to have to do a damn good job playing defense next Friday.

13. Hopefully Obama will have learned from his Bill O experience
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 09:49 PM by Union Thug
That he needs to reframe the surge bullshit. No, it wasn't successful. There's no political reconciliation, we are appeasing warlords by bribing them with American tax dollars, and the so-called awakening had begun before the surge. Don't get caught off guard, Obama.

15. I think we will feel great...Obama will kick ass. The only thing that will be bother me is...
you know that even if McCain just stands there and drools, the MSM will be saying that they did equally well...they will keep the horse race going.
