PBS has a poll that asks: Is Sarah Palin qualified to be VP? Rumor has it that the Right is encouraging folks to vote yes (i.e., to lie). She's at more than a 60% yes vote so far. Let's bring that down!

ultimately pointless. "DUing" any poll has, in the end, NO effect on ANYTHING.

If the poll is getting Freeped, we can certainly DU it. This is a PBS poll, so it's going to have some aura of credibility even if it's completely bogus.

It doesn't matter if these pseudo-polls are "DU'ed" or "Freeped." It's meaningless in any case. The notion that pouncing on these online toy-polls and driving them in one direction or the other was actually accomplishing something originated in freeperdom and should have stayed there, because it's dumb. They're dumber than we are, and we should welcome the fact that they waste more time on "freeping" and other meaningless activities than we do.

I mean, if people find this competition fun, so be it -- but does the board need to be littered with endless urgent emergency calls for people to waste a few seconds?
