NEW YORK — Barack Obama's presidential campaign, which has inspired a multitude of songs by stars and amateurs alike, is now getting an official soundtrack.

"Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement," which takes its title from an Obama campaign slogan, features Kanye West, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder and others. It will be available for sale exclusively through Obama's campaign starting Friday.

Proceeds from the CD ($24.99 for a digital download, $30 for a physical product) will help fund Obama's campaign until Nov. 4, Election Day, according Hidden Beach Recordings, which created the CD

1. Very cool.....
I was hoping for something like this....
I hope they include some of the songs that they play before his rallys...
I find those very inspirational.

3. A little more info...
Included on Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement are such songs as John Mayer’s “Waiting On The World To Change,” BeBe Winans’ “I Have A Dream,” Jill Scott’s “One Is The Magic #,” Jackson Browne’s “Looking East,” Sheryl Crow’s “Out Of Our Heads,” Los Lonely Boys’ “Make It Better,” Keb’ Mo’s “America The Beautiful,” Yolanda Adams’ “Hold On,” Ozomatli’s “Love & Hope” and Stevie Wonder’s legendary tune and official Obama-Biden Campaign anthem “Sign, Sealed, Delivered.” Several of these songs are now worked into unique “Obama” versions featuring some inspiring speech excerpts from the campaign trail.

5. Please, Jebus, don't let them include that crappy shit-kicker country song
that they played after an otherwise magnificent nominating event in Denver. :scared:

6. That's great. What I want though is the musical soundtrack from the convention
Someone did a great job with that--they played "Isn't She Lovely" when Michelle Obama walked on stage, that kind of thing.

7. John McCain could issue a greatest hits,
except that he's in litigation with several of the artist's whose songs he stole for the campaign.
