I film a lot of political stuff in Alaska, and have been slowly working on a documentary project about Election Central for years. That is the place in Anchorage where everyone goes on election nights to watch the results come in and all the candidates show up and do interviews and everything.

I was filming on primary night when she beat the incumbent gov, and anytime I would get within 20 feet of Sarah, Todd would come over and put his chest or his back right in front of the lens of my camera. He kept telling me that I had all the footage I needed, and wouldn't let me get a shot of Sarah. A couple days before this I was out filming at a busy intersection with people from every campaign on different sides waving signs. I happened to be there to film at the same time a guy came up and stood next to her with a sign calling her an idiot. Her parents and Todd confronted me and accused me of being with the guy, which I wasn't and I explained that to them. Then they made a comment about the sign I had in my car which was for her opponent, so I took it out and they took pictures of me with the sign. Didn't think much of it, until that night when I couldn't get near her. They must have seen thousands of people in those couple days, but they remembered me and their percieved slight against Sarah. I was digging through my old tapes yesterday and found a few from that week, I'll have to see if I can find the footage of both incidents.
