Strange business up north: Palin's reformist image threatened by hypocrisy (Waco Trib editorial)
Saturday, September 20, 2008

... Two months after boldly welcoming a bipartisan investigation into her activities as governor of Alaska, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is suddenly showing more in common with the state’s long-powerful, recently indicted Republican senator, Ted Stevens.

Five of her allies in the Alaska Legislature are trying to torpedo the very legislative investigation she urged forward this summer, an inquiry formed by Republicans and Democrats alike to look into allegations Palin abused her executive powers by trying to get her sister’s ex-husband fired as a state trooper.

If that’s not enough, Palin now says she won’t cooperate with the legislative investigation ...

... Neither the voters of this nation nor the Republican Party need any examples of hypocrisy as big as Alaska.

1. Sarah Palin is acting like Harriet Miers, - just like the bush administration

2. Unfortunately, according to the latest polls, Stevens may be making
a comeback, pulled along by Palin. I think I'll check out Mark Begich's website, and send him a few bucks. Stevens was really in danger before the Palin pick. I hope the media continues with this storyline, and drive home the fact that Palin's a liar, and a flip-flopper.
