Alright, Let's Get the News Cycle This Week, Then.....
On Friday, September 26th, the first Presidential Debate. The following week will larger be the analysis of that debate. Until Thursday, October 2nd, we get the VP Debate.

That will last until the following Tuesday, the 7th, with the 2nd Presidential Debate.

Then on Friday, October 10th---The prosecutor will conclude his Investigation into Troopergate.

We have "won" the past two weeks, if we can take this following week, the debates and the investigation should carry us through the next month.

2. Obama just has to prevent McCain...
...from turning the first debate (on foreign policy) into a non-stop surge-o-thon with simplistic contrasts of "victory" versus "capitulation." If McCain can't win the first debate, I doubt he'll have much of a chance in the remaining two.

I honestly feel 9/26 will be the most important night of the campaign, period.

3. That frame around "victory" needs to be smashed.
I am not sure how to do it. I am sure Obama's team has been planning for it. The thing is, mcPOW knows very little about foreign policy. He only knows slogans, and gets confused in the details. Obama should knock him on his face. He just needs to effectively neuter any victory talk, as you said.
