If you live in both of those areas now is the time to buy all your Republican friends the documentary the "11th hour." After the hurricanes they will be more receptive to its message. We may not get those states this time but who knows next time. It's important to highlight that climate change will bring more ferocious hurricanes to come in the future and Democrats are the only party to take it serious.

1. I could be wrong

but I think the Obama campaign is asking Texans to work in swing states if they can. It looks to me like they are giving up on Texas.

I'll have to go back and check again, though.
