crucial states. Good fortune like that is why I'm cautiously optimistic about this election. If the Palin bounce had come 10 days later, there would be some dumb voters in Virginia heading to the polls to vote for their gal Sarah. Now many of them seem to have woken up and snapped out of their brief infatuation with her.

This is news to me, in VA. I see where absentee voting is possible, but is early voting, in general, available? If so, a well-kept secret.

I might early vote because I may be outside the Commonwealth (in DC) at work all day. But I kind of want to vote on Election Day.

There is no early voting here, so what's up? One can get an absentee ballot, but that is not early voting.
