Does Anbody Feel Sorry For John McInsaneInThe Membrane? |
|
In his heart he hates George Bush* and Fundys with a passion but he had to pretend he liked George Bush* and he had to put a Fundy on the ticket to appease the conservative base...Now he's being undone by George Bush*'s economy and his Fundy approved running mate is turning out to be an embarrassment...
He's about to blow...You could see it yesterday when he blamed Senator Obama for the recent economic unpleasantness... I hope he has a meltdown at the debate on Friday...That would be hilarious...
Do I feel sorry for him?
A little bit...
:P

but, he chose to do what he did and in the process many people have lost respect for him. He's a prime example of the desire for power to corrupt a person.
He's now the poster boy for what the republican party has become - lying, greedy, hateful power whores.

Does his bed even get made? He takes it with him wherever he goes.
I'd like to see a shot of his assistants carrying the bed off of his plane. Ha ha! THAT wouldn't look too good.

He let me down. I felt so bad for him during the primaries when repugs used that smear about him fathering a black child. I watched him on the verge of tears and basically in shock. But all he really got out of it is that nasty tactics win elections

16. McCain's always been a snake |
|
I don't fall for his hate Bush, maverick B.S. The only reason he might hate Bush is because Bush is the top dog and McCain wants to be President desperately (and Palin would be VP dog). He certainly doesn't hate Bush because of policy. McCain has no policy. It's whatever comes along that might benefit him, just like his wife.
If McCain's a maverick it's because he doesn't like or get along with anyone unless they have something to offer him. Then we he's done he'll stab them in the back.

|
including the Naval Academy and the Senate. He's been received like a hero by thousands of people because he was a POW.
If McCain were truly a straight talker, he wouldn't have abandoned what principles he had just to get elected. Because he's not being handed the Presidency and ultimate power on a silver platter, I'm not going to feel pity for McCain and his 8 houses. If McCain has such a feeling that he deserves special privileges and has an expectation of entitlement to them, it's not my fault.

and he would have been a much more formidable competitor if he WAS bucking the straight party line, something he has sometimes done. That part of McCain definitely had some appeal to moderates and independents. But he has sold out totally with Palin just to get voters that were never going to be our voters anyway: super right wing zealots. Their enthusiasm for Palin is not enough to win this election. I'll start feeling sorry for him a little after I hear his concession speech.

If I thought he had any integrity left, then maybe I'd feel sorry for him. I doubt that he does though. He chose to side with Bush, not just once or twice but repeatedly. If that went against his conscience or integrity, then he should have done something about it back then. He doesn't get my sympathy now that the birds are coming home to roost.

I alternate between despising him, and yes, feeling sorry for him. Especially lately, he really seems to be falling apart. And it's hard for me to hate someone who seems so old and feeble. Yes, he has done despicable things and has essentially sold his soul to the devil, and maybe he's not worthy of my pity, but I just can't help it sometimes. :P

I don't have pity as much as I feel embarrassed every time I see and hear him. Like when those car ads come on the TeeVee offering "two liters of Coke for every test drive." I think, "Yeah, right, sure...I'm going to rearrange my afternoon, drive across town, and deal with some car salesman for "two liters of Coke!" "What kind of chump do you take me for?"

McCain reminds me of Hengist from that Jack the Ripper Star Trek episode. Then throw in a little Uriah Heep (Copperfield, not rock band), a cup of Bush/Cheney, three assorted chunks of a random cadaver, rabies. Combine ingredients to form gray-green ball of gunk. Hire ad agency to sprinkle on homeopathically small quantities of Papillon and Tom Cruise from Top Gun. Serve with straight face and flag lapel pin.

|
He sold his soul to get the prize, then every decision drove him to deeper despair.
That being said I don't feel sorry for him one bit.
Would you feel sorry for a guy that ripped of thousands to make a million then lost his money?
McCain did roughly the same, a principled person does not abandon his principles.
