Obama volunteers very busy in Philly... |
|
I work right down the block from the campaign HQ and there are people out on the street all the time registering new voters. A gal from whom I bought 2 Obama buttons today told me that she registered 18 voters between 10 aM and 1 PM...lots of African-American voters with Obama buttons, something I have never seen before...at least since Mondale-FERRARO, and even then, not on AA's.
Almost all of my patients are Obama supporters or say that they are...a few discuss McCain, but not enthusiastically - this is all anecdotal and CC Philly is not exactly representative of anywhere else...but all good signs so far.
Keep the faith...

Obama signs everywhere...very few McCain...when I first noved here I was one of the few registered Dems..lots of liberals but few would admit to it since all the boards and many commissioners were Republican. Want your trash picked up?

5. We live right outside of Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy |
|
In Springfield Township. Chestnut Hill, if you go down the side streets off of Germantown Ave., on some streets there are more houses with Obama signs than not. In Springfield Township, not every other house, but almost exclusively Obama signs. My husband and I canvassed our street, about half weren't home, but most are listed as Democrats. I'd say 90% were definite Obama, 6 undecideds with 4 leaning Obama, 2 we couldn't tell, but all were disgusted with Bush and Republicans. We're gonna try to catch the rest tomorrow.
Lookin good around here, but I'm going to work hard till election day. PA may be close again.
