ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- A suicide truck bombing destroyed the packed Marriott Hotel, near the Parliament building and the prime minister's home, in the city of Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday night.

Marriott Hotel rooms burn above vehicles damaged by Saturday's car bombing.
2 of 2 more photos » The attack killed at least 40 people and wounded another 200, police said.

People were still trapped in the hotel, which burst into flames after the explosion caused a natural gas pipe leak, officials said. The fire was still burning at 2 a.m., six hours after the blast, according to The Associated Press.

Rescuers worked to moved bloodied bodies from the hotel but were forced to stop out of fear that the structure could collapse.

3. Not quite, but not far off - The Marriott's are a huge Mormon family enterprise

You'll find a Book of Mormon in every room (well, unless you get one that I was in the night before).

2. Pakistan - that is Biden's area of expertise.
I can't help but wonder how he's feeling inside with all the changes going on there and yet being so focused on the stump.
He is meeting with the new President next week.

Anyway - when it comes to Pakistan, Biden will be able to out-debate McCain.
