My prediction about Michelle Obama
is that she will be one of our most lovely and beautiful first ladies inside and out.

Furthermore, I think Michelle will set off a fashion explosion much like Jackie Kennedy. Rarely is there a woman in public life - outside a model or movie star who wears clothes so well. I don't know if she has a stylist helping her, or she selects her own wardrobe, but she is perfection when she makes an appearance. I really look forward to seeing how she will dress, and of course what she will say and how she will say it. I think any designer would be flattered for Michelle to wear his/her clothing.

and at the risk of sounding sexist, I must say that she is HOT! :)

On edit-- I must say that she's smart as hell & very talented & articulate as well. She's great!

5. I could care less. Michelle has much, much more to offer than
being a clothes horse. We're in for dark days, and I see Michelle as playing an important role that has nothing to do with high fashion.

10. I don't know if she wears high fashion or not, nor do I really care.
But she looks like a million bucks when she makes a public appearance.

Of course she is much deeper and talented than her appearance. But I at least recognize she looks as well as sounds spectacular.

It's not what you wear - it's how you wear it.

It doesn't hurt that Michelle has ample talent and brains to back it up. Not just another empty suit. Strike that. Not just another empty dress.

12. The great thing is that she's not really into designer clothes
I'm sure her formal gowns would be designer or custom made but I think it's great that she wears off-the-rack stuff and looks fantastic in them.

18. More power to Michelle.
I give her even more credit then. Everything fits her like a glove and it off the rack! Man, I am so jealous.

14. I met Lady Bird Johnson when I was a teenager
She was a great person. Eleanor Roosevelt was also a great person. Michelle will be the latest in a great tradition of Democratic First Ladies. On the other hand, the Republican first ladies - make my skin crawl: brain dead astrologers, harpies, vehicular homicidal maniacs who have mostly spawned other wastrels.

17. LOL
I love your comment about vehicular homicide. Imagine if that had been Hillary rather than Laura Bush. We would have never heard the end of it. But since it was Laura Bush, nobody ever dared mention it.... That murderess!

19. She was among the 10 best dressed women for People magazine.
Here's the link for the article: http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hB1H8T3jRODCGrTlC-95YQl5S8Hw

I do agree with you -- she is impressive in dress, personality, and everything really.

Hhmmm the article seems to imply she wears designer clothes, but a poster just said she does not.

24. Why is it that the woman who is famous for wearing a $148 dress is elitist but the woman
who wore over $300,000 worth of stuff at the GOP convention is not?

It's astonishing how the GOP gets the memes started "liberal media" "elitist democrats" and they are complete lies.
