HO-BOY!! McCain admits he was responsible for deregulating banks
Edited on Sat Sep-20-08 09:44 PM by BigBearJohn
Markos and his diarist have a great find here.(http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/9/19/214728/574/854/604263) McCain admitting that he was responsible for deregulating Wall Street over the past decade. Nice. So now that we know that McCain's campaign manager was a lobbyist paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight off regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and that McCain himself is now taking credit for deregulating Wall Street, I think John McCain has worked his Keating Five magic once again.

Edit to add:

a TV AD needs to come out on this
RIGHT AWAY

We have to strike while the iron is H-O-T!!!

1. He and his friend[s] Gramms
undoubtedly had a lot to do with this, but they sure weren't the only ones. I have no opinions about these at the moment, but thought people might be interested.

11. I think he admitted it that first day in Florida
when he said "The fundamentals of our economy are strong" but later in the speech said "We will never put the American people in this position again."

8. That's funny...
I got pissed drunk the night before my last Intro to Microeconomics, didn't go, and I still understand the material extremely easy...I find it pretty damn fascinating, and if this keeps up, I may have to add an Economics major to my Honours Global Politics major.

9. "a TV AD needs to come out on this RIGHT AWAY"
Good luck convincing the geniuses at the Obama campaign. They've punted away a dozen opportunities like this since June, and don't show any signs of changing the pattern.

Boggles the mind- it really does.
