So, do you like idea of Obama not campaigning this week to prepare for Friday's debate?? |
|
I hope Obama will respond immidiately if McBush & company make any outrageous statements....Will the Clinton's be hitting the campaign trail this week??..
I totally understand Obama wants to prepare for Friday, but I wish he would do a couple stops in Florida as that is where he'll be preparing - I wish he was doing SOME campaigning...
God do I hope he wallops McBush on Friday!....

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/20/obama-sets-up-debate-camp-in-the-sunshine-state/"While Mr. Obama will have no rallies or town meetings next week, aides said, his mere presence (fueled by a few photo opportunities) will surely draw considerable local media attention and put to rest any suggestions that he does not intend to aggressively compete in the state with Senator John McCain."

He'll be in NC tomorrow, Wisconsin on Monday, and I think he'll do an event in Tampa as well. I do think he should prepare a lot for the debate though. If he does well when the focus is on one of McCain's perceived strengths, it will really help him.

As a DKos poster pointed out today, McCain not campaigning on weekends essentially means that he's ceded an entire week over the remainder of the season, which gives Obama an edge, and the mass-media factor weighs heavily; the opportunity to outclass McCain in front of what will probably be a very large television audience potentially outweighs the impact of smaller rallies scattered among the close states.

5. Pacing, ebb and tide, people(not du) get sick of too much of a good thing |
|
So he rides this last week strong, lulls down a bit while Joe takes the center attention with vp debates, lets that impact and then he hits hard and back at center attention during his debates.
Its a brilliant wave ride instead of bully pulpit. Much more natural and less off putting.
