THE SARAH PALIN SCANDALS: CALL OF THE WILD

Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin has hushed up a series of scandals including her own brother-in-law's shocking criminal past!

After the Alaska governor was named John McCain's running mate, she disclosed her husband Todd had been arrested for drunk driving in 1986 - but not that his brother James Palin was involved in a devastating hit-and-run that inflicted multiple injuries on a female pedestrian.

Court papers obtained by The ENQUIRER show that James Palin, Sarah's brother-in-law, was busted as a 20-year-old on Feb. 15, 1989, in his Dillingham, Alaska, hometown - after a major drinking binge.

According to official records: James, in a drunken stupor, slammed into a woman with his vehicle, stopped, pulled her out from underneath it - and then callously sped away, leaving her injured on the side of the road like Alaskan road-kill!

<snip>

In addition to James' legal woes, The ENQUIRER learned other members of Todd Palin's family have been tromping through the Alaska court system:

Blanche Kallstrom, Todd's mother, sued the U.S. government for negligence and took the suit all the way to the Alaska Supreme Court - which ultimately ruled against her.

The suit sprang from a series of claims and counterclaims originating from a tragic mistake in 1993 in which Blanche, Sarah's mother-in-law, accidentally served a child a lye-based detergent, thinking it was fruit juice.

I hope this no account family sticks in people's minds.

Do you really want this scum-bag family to represent US government? The Queen of England would NEVER meet Palin the sleazy lipstick on a pig.

4. I'm sorry that Blanche Kallstrom
Edited on Sat Sep-20-08 11:44 PM by Blue_In_AK
has been brought into this. I'm familiar with this case and it was very tragic accident.
Alaska Supreme Court opinion here http://www.touchngo.com/sp/html/sp-5553.htm I was working as a paralegal for Blanche's attorneys at the time, Ray Brown and Mauri Long.

This was purely an accident, no fault of Blanche's, and she was very traumatized as a result. Whatever NE wants to write about Todd or Sarah is okay, but I just feel bad about Blanche being dragged into this.

10. Did you read the facts in the case?
Maybe you or I would not have made such a mistake, but I can easily see how it could happen given the circumstances. This particular pitcher was not the only one on the counter -- the guilty party was the employee who stupidly put it in a PITCHER in the first place, and then left it out where someone could mistakenly pour from it.

On November 27, 1993, Blanche Kallstrom and other

members of the public attended a social function and dance at

Jakes Place, an alcohol abuse transitional care facility in

Dillingham. The lights at the facility had been dimmed for the

dance. Non-alcoholic drinks were available to guests in the

kitchen area adjacent to the dance floor. During the dance,

Kallstrom went to the kitchen at the request of her young cousin

to get a drink for nine-year-old Lori Dee Wilson. Kallstrom

poured a drink from a pitcher sitting on the counter which she

believed to contain fruit juice and gave it to Lori Dee. In

fact, the pitcher contained a lye-based caustic detergent that

caused severe, permanent internal injuries to Lori Dee when she

drank it.

It happens to the best of us..but someone in that situation should not go around preaching to others about abstinence and family values.

It is the hypocrisy that is so off-putting.

I am, at best, wary and leery of the National Enquirer's credibility. They have reported numerous lurid stories in the past without any documentation that ended up being proven false. Granted, they landed a big scoop with Edwards, so this still could be true (I'd like to think it is, haha). But let's proceed cautiously when it comes to these people.

20. National Enquirer "PRIDES" itself on the truth now though. No more lies
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 01:10 AM by trueblue2007
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Enquirer

The Enquirer makes no secret of the fact that it will pay sources for tips, a practice generally frowned upon by the mainstream press. At least one prominent story, connected to the Elizabeth Smart case, had to be retracted after it was revealed that two informants had fabricated false information. The informants had been paid a large sum for the story.

In recent years it has sought to establish a reputation for reliable journalism and had some success, often scooping other media on the O.J. Simpson and Monica Lewinsky stories.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Big story breaking~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sarah Palin Story
The National Enquirer claimed to have an exclusive account of Bristol Palin's pregnancy. She is the daughter of Sarah Palin, Republican nominee for Vice President:<2>
...The ultra-conservative governor's announcement about her daughter's pregnancy came hours after The Enquirer informed her representatives and family members of Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol's child, that we were aware of the pregnancy and were going to break the news. In a preemptive strike Palin released the news, creating political shockwaves...
The National Enquirer is also preparing to publish a story (in the September 15, 2008 issue) alleging that Palin had an affair with her husband's business partner.<3>
Answering John McCain's threat of a law suit, a spokesman for the paper, in a statement to the Huffington Post, declared<3>:
The National Enquirer's coverage of a vicious war within Sarah Palin's extended family includes several newsworthy revelations, including the resulting incredible charge of an affair plus details of family strife when the Governor's daughter revealed her pregnancy. Following our John Edwards' exclusives, our political reporting has obviously proven to be more detail-oriented than the McCain campaign's vetting process. Despite the McCain camp's attempts to control press coverage they find unfavorable, The Enquirer will continue to pursue news on both sides of the political spectrum.
25. This is unimportant - has nothing to do with her
Her brother-in-law's behavior 20 or so years ago is nothing but a distraction.
Bristol & Track's coke & meth & booze & pot & loose sex, on the other hand, are illuminating in several ways:
1) They are probably acting out because she causes such a dysfunctional family, meaning there's more reason to worry
2) Her parenting skills and values should be nothing to strengthen her candidacy
3) She's a hypocrite.
