1. Well, since literally thousands of people at the end of the lines
can't get in, people show up many hours in advance, and don't bring anything to eat or drink with them. Just what I've seen at the
two rallies I went to.

2. Lots of people faint at football games.
Heat + crowds + dehydration = at least one fainter in a crowd of thousands. It's just statistical probability.

3. Maybe because a lot of those people are undernourished because
of job loss and low wages. The rich white Republicans attending McCain events don't have that problem. When I lived in South America people used to faint at Mass every Sunday because the very poor people often hadn't had anything to eat for several days.

5. Too close, too noisy, too hot (and at a rock concert, you can add booze)
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 01:00 PM by rocknation
As a veteran of twenty years' worth of hard rock concerts, I've seen plenty of people faint, and I've nearly done it myself. I couldn't catch my breath, but fortunately, I still had the presence of mind to move from in front of the stage.

6. If they pack them in tiny venues like they did us in Ohio...
Ours was at a community college to hear Hillary speak. We figured being there, it would be the auditorium or the gym...no, it was in the lobby area of the college...talk about sardines. And they just kept packing people in...guess they overestimated the turnout...but I hope next time, they take it into consideration...it was BAD
