Sowing the seeds for a surprise McCain win
This is what I have been warning anyone who would listen. They are starting to prepare us for another stolen election.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House if the election is close, according to an AP-Yahoo News poll that found one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks - many calling them "lazy," "violent" or responsible for their own troubles.

The poll, conducted with Stanford University, suggests that the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama because of his race could easily be larger than the final difference between the candidates in 2004 - about 2.5 percentage points.

3. This poll is off.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/Questioning...

My colleague David Paul Kuhn, a serious poll junkie, has an interesting catch:

The AP study also seems to have been conducted among a population of Democrats more skeptical of Obama than normal. Both polls ABC-News/Washington Post, as well as the massive weekly summaries of the Gallup Poll, demonstrates that since late August between 83 and 85 percent of Democrats say they will vote for Obama. The AP study interviewed a population where only seven in ten Democrats said they support Obama, a notably low number.

4. AP Is Now Push-Polling for the McAin't Campaign
Just reading their own description of this poll makes it obvious that it is a "push poll"!
So Associated Press is now openly push-polling for the McCain campaign.

How much more "in the tank" can you be?

6. Your 'concern' is noted, and I call bullshit on this. As Donna Brazille
said, if 1/4 of the white population won't vote for a black man, 3/4s will.

12. I agree

But the past two presidential elections (stolen) gives me pause. I am merely stating that when suddenly McCain wins they will say that when it comes down to it they will say "the white voters just could not pull the lever for a black man." Add that to the black box voting and I think the fix is in. Obama should be 20 points ahead after this week, but they are still showing it as close. I want to be wrong and hope that I am. But I have been disappointed to many times before. I am not only a Dem but a Cubs fan, so pardon my pessimism.

7. It's funny how the MOST hateful, those MOST guilty of labeling other people
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS fail to see and admit the same tendencies in their own.

Funny how that works.

8. Why can't they just call ir racism? Or bigotry? 'Misgivings'.....
makes it sound like some sort of minor breach of manners.

I agree tho, this article gives me the creeps. Aren't most of those white people with "misgivings" already firmly in the GOP camp? Or else they are non-voters (who number in the millions in this country). Why are we suddenly supposed to start worrying about them not voting for Obama?

11. And all of this polling is completely
missing what I sincerely hope will be a HUGE turnout among young voters. Who for the most part don't share those racist views.
