Finally seeing yard signs in Omaha
2 McSame and 1 Obama yard sign finally made an appearance. I'm also finally seeing McSame bumper stickers, although Obama still has the edge here, based on my observations.

1. You know, if the signs actually said...
"McSame," that would really be some cool, eh?

2. It's weird - with the exception of ONE Obama yard sign, the only yard signs I see
here in my town in central TX are local - city council & mayor. That's IT! I'm not driving down every street or anything, but I do find it odd. Damn few bumper stickers of either type too.

7. I agree: Even now, compared to '04, '00, and '96 there's nothing
Very few bumper stickers compared to the last 2 races(I still count more Bush / Cheney stickers than McSame stickers, and I saw a lefty car with every peace sticker under the sun, and a freekin Kerry/Edwards sticker, but no Obama sticker)

I see far more local election yard signs.

6. There were like none here until 2 days ago
There were signs for congress and senate, but nothing Presidential. It was like someone declared presidential sign season to be open.

5. No sign in my yard at this time. Mrs. OBD doesn't want a repeat of the Kerry era
...I'm confident this objection will be overcome, however ;-)

10. It's never been more important. My wife and I have signs for every
dem on every level in our yard. We're in Oklahoma, and yesterday we volunteered and put up signs for our state senate nominee. The repub incumbant is fully entrenched due to his church affiliation. I saw far more signs for our dem than for the incumbant repub. I also saw far more Obama signs than McSame. Get those signs up, and register some new voters.

11. So do you think that Obama might peel off Omaha's EV?

12. I think it's a real possibility
..and even better - McSame needs to spend money to defend an EV he had put in his column.

13. Awesome!
I think that that was my favorite news item running up to 2006: the Republicans retreating again and again, dropping ads in PA and OH, and playing defense in ID-01, and WY-AL to the point they had to trot out Bush and Cheney. To Wyoming! To keep a house seat!

Let's hope Omaha goes Obama.
