OK.. I should already know this...
but I don't. So maybe you guys will help me out with some particulars. (and no telling me how clueless I am for needing to ask, OK?)

If I wanted to help someone to register to vote, how would I go about it? Do I need to send them to the town hall or wherever, or can I go get the forms and bring them to folks myself? I have been talking with some folks about the election and voting, and a couple of them have confided that they've never voted before, aren't registered and are intimidated by the whole process. I'd like to help them out and make it as easy for them as possible:)

1. It's a good question!
You can get the forms and take them to your friends...

I think they're available from the Post Office, or your local Dem office should have them too...

Good luck, and thanks for asking!

2. Try Rock The Vote
www.rockthevote.com

You can get a registration from from any state there. Also, your county recorder or elections department in your state may have a link to register online.

4. Depends on the state you are in (I mean geographically!).
Your state Secretary of State and your County Supervisor's office should have the info online.

In most states you don't have to be cerified to reguster voters.

Good luck and GOTV! :hi:

7. Make sure you know how to complete the form!
If any required information is missing, the registration will be invalid. Call your county Board of

Elections about particulars and be sure these people get their registration cards in the mail from the

BOE.

8. Thanks... I'll be sure to do that!
I'm infamous for leaving out info on forms, so the warning is well put:blush:
