How great is Obama on 60 Minutes? |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 07:27 PM by sunnybrook
I can't believe this guy, this campaign has just improved him so much! I like it that Kroft was really tough on him, because Obama could HANDLE it, he had an answer for everything. I love that he pointed out that they HAVE nothing to talk about and have been talking about meaningless crap like Britney Spears and Lipstick on Pigs. I also liked they he talked about EXACTLY why he would be a good president and said it was more than just being able to give a good speech. They're going back to Obama, gotta watch!

McCain, if he wins, wants to move the White House into Republican Territory, or something like that.

2. He was great. I loved the way he handled that question of the surge. |
|
No the iraq war did not begin at the surge and yes the Mccain campaign has been wrong about everything from the beginning. Yes he does have a plan to pay for his ideas. Yes he will cut taxes and the taxes that he will have will be no more than what you were paying under Reagan.

5. OK... WHO is this jerk interviewer?! Did anyone see the grin from ear to ear |
|
on the racism question? And the scowl on his face when Obama didn't seem defeated by it and actually knocked it out the park!??

Obama HANDLED him. This "jerk" is a well known journalist that has been with 60 Minutes for a long time.

9. Steve Kroft - one of their best interviewers |
|
I didn't see it that way. I saw him just so happy to be around Obama. He does that to you. He is backing him all the way!

11. Yes he is and it is great practice for the debates. I think he is handling it brilliantly. |
|
Between this and his practice sessions beginning on Tuesday he should be ready to go. He must answer the surge question the way he answered tonight.

18. Exactly. He didn't try to one-up McCain's POW stuff, he knew he couldn't ... |
|
so he just explained how the whole of his life has been about bringing people together because of his struggles finding those connections growing up.

17. Obama was super. Wow. McCain was pathetic - |
|
If this is even a slight reflection of how the debates are going to come out - Obama will rule. There was absolutely no substance in anything McCain said. Obama did a great job. Was it just me, or were there only Obama ads during the breaks? I wonder how many people watched this.

He was authentic, at ease with himself, answered serious questions simply and intelligently, countered the McSame lies with humor. Humility, yet was confidence. Strong, but even tempered. I wonder what the undecided people out there saw.

anyone who votes for McCan't is either a complete, unadulterated idiot, or a raging racist.....they can take their pick as to which category they fall into because there can be no other reason.

noticed when he's asked things about his POW days (or when bringing it up himself), they show him close-up as if to try to catch him "being emotional," but his eyes look like that NOW.
He said he'd replace Chris Cox with Andrew Cuomo-a Dem. How bi-partisan and phony of him. :eyes:

30. Not trying to be an ass. But if anyone watching that. If you would vote for McCain |
|
there is only one reason. You're a racist. The contrast was clear. The choice is clear. No one could watch those two interviews and come away with McCain being the better choice.
