Heck of a job, Surge-y
I'm so sick and tired of hearing the MSM repeat the patently false assertion that "The surge worked."

The Iraqi government is disfunctional and corrupt, and, incidentally, more than happy to foment anger against Israel and any talk of peace:

Iraqi lawmaker faces prosecution for visiting Israel

I'm REALLY glad Obama addressed this in the 60 Minutes interview tonight.

"But the truth of the matter is we still don't have an oil agreement. We still don't have provincial elections. The commanders on the ground themselves acknowledge that the political progress that's needed has not been made. So we all welcome the reduction in violence, but the notion that somehow this was the only way for us to solve the problem, and that the problem has been solved, I completely disagree with."

He needs to continue hitting this theme, along with the point he also made, that McCain is trying to pretend the war just started two years ago, especially in Friday's foreign policy debate.
