Let me tell you how I intend to watch the debate on Friday

First, NO pre-game on TV. None. I just can't handle those cackling, yapping knuckleheads bumping their gums about what Obama "needs to do", etc.

I will then watch the debate, most likely on C-SPAN.

As soon as the debate is over, I will immediately turn off the TV and isolate myself from all post-debate spin (and that includes DU).

Then I will go to bed or watch a movie.

That way I will get a sense of the fairness of the questions

I will be damned if I will watch a debate where one side gets softball questions, while the other side has its feet held to the fire

That may not happen, but if the past performance of the media is any indication then I won't be surprised, and I do not want to lose my cool

Hopefully, they will stick to the issues, which in that case I will watch the debates after

but I am quite skeptical, since the media has been the lapdogs for the current administration for the past eight years
