These are my demands!
OK...if we, the people, are going to have to bail out Wall Street, here are my demands (feel free to add your own to this list!)

1. I want the banking/lending institutions nationalized. Hell...lets just call it what it is instead of pretending that we have a free market economy.

2. I want universal health coverage available for anyone who needs it.

3. I want free college for my kids.

1. I could get behind that
Also, I want student loans forgiven. All of them. If I have to bail out the fuckers that own student loas I'll be damned if I'm going to have to pay them off too. That's paying them twice.

3. Investment banks shouldn't be nationalized.
We should restore the separation between investment banks, savings banks, and insurance companies which were erased by the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

6. Come to Denmark..
We'll give you 2 and 3 (and your kids will get paid to attend college $700-1000 a month)

But you probably don't want to pay 50% income tax..

8. Sure I would...and we did pay a lot when we lived in germany.
I would absolutely pay 50% of my income in taxes if it meant quality universal healthcare and free college for my kids.

9. I personally don't mind 50% income tax...
so long as 1) I still have money to live on, as I want to live, and 2) the tax money goes to things worth having. NOT bailing out Wall Street because they stole from people.

7. I agree with all three
Definitely!

Goldman Sachs should eb nationalized now since changing their business allowed them to survive.

The banks are living on our dime. Time for them to put up.
