Is there anything else going on Friday evening, other than the debate? |

Hmmm... I can't think of anything else likely to be going on Friday evening, except maybe the Senate debate on the bail-out, and probably some amendment votes.
And both candidates are sitting senators.
Congress is supposed to recess Friday. That will almost certainly be delayed, but midnight oil will be burned.
The campaigns really should agree to devote the first half hour of the debate to the bail-out, but I doubt that will happen.

1. Anyone know how the agenda is set? This debate is supposed to be about foreign policy, |
|
but I'd love to see current events--and most especially the bailout--discussed NOW when it matters most.

2. The campaigns agree to the topic |

I think it was changed TO foreign policy a while back.
If both campaigns said, "we want to talk about the money-surge" the moderators would go along.
I doubt that will happen, though, because one side or the other would probably perceive a relative disadvantage. (I can't guess which.)
