I just got a call about California's Prop 8 (Marriage between man & woman)

The caller said he was calling about Prop 8, a marriage between a man and a woman and asked me what I thought about it.

I told him I thought we had no business telling people who they can love and marry.

Response: "....(long pause) Oh, okay. Thank you."

Me: "You're welcome. Have a nice day."

13. They called me too!

I usually screen calls and when I heard them talking on my answering machine saying they had called to talk to me about Prop 8 I ran to the phone. But the phone was not in the cradle. Damn! I ran all over the house looking for it and rehearsing what I would say: "I don't know how I got on your list because I would NEVER, EVER, vote for such a hateful, mean-spirited proposition and have only contempt for those who would advocate for this. I'm a happily-married heterosexual, and gay marriage has not hurt my marriage in the least. Gays should have the same right to marry that I have enjoyed."

Unfortunately I couldn't find the phone before he hung up. :( He promised to call back but hasn't so far. Please.....please call me again......
