McCain camp is trying to do ANYTHING to change the subject

  • Having Palin "write" an op-ed about Ahmidinijad (as if she wrote it herself)
  • Accusing Hunter Biden of being a lobbyist
  • Putting out ads about Rezko
  • Another press release about Ayers
  • The whole made-up outrage about Palin's yahoo email hack
  • Attacking the NY Times
  • The fake story about 60,000 attending Palin rally in Florida

They're on the ropes, people. The bailout trumps ALL other stories. I know that Friday's debate is supposed to be about "foreign policy"... but there's only ONE thing on voters' minds right now:

Their money.

No matter what the topic on Friday, Obama has to try to tie it to the economy. Do *NOT* let the McCain campaign change the subject.

What was true in '92 ("it's the economy, stupid") is TEN TIMES more true today.

It's 1932. And we have a multi-racial FDR running against a reincarnated Hoover.

4. The war and the economy are already joined at the hip
Obama has been making that point all along.

The debate will be interesting.

8. And that is absolutely WHY I'm pushing to ignore today's View freak-out.
Because if the media chooses to make this a Obama vs. Clinton debate again, it will not help us.

The focus should be the economy. The View viewers who are panicked about the ecomony heard Clinton tell them that Republicans screwed this up.

The economy, economy, economy!

Can't wait for the debate.
