Question for those of you who have a land line:
Have you been polled this season?

The reason I'm asking is because I've been checking with my family/friends/coworkers and I have yet to find anyone I know who's been polled.

22. I can't tell pollsters from telemarketers. I have Call Intercept and for those
calls that do get through, I don't answer the phone unless I recognize the caller id.

I know there are lots of people like me who have been so beaten down by telemarketers that we're phone-phobic (at least, land-line-phobic).

31. NC - been polled for Gov and for Pres race
so far. Not for senate though. Problem is, the Dems don't call me; it's the Repukes. I can tell by the way they frame the questions it's a repuke poll. And it's all about "don't you want the gov't to cut your taxes?" The operator usually surprised at my answers. ;-)

I live in my childhood home and the number is an old well-established one. They are really looking for my dad. He was the family repub. Trouble is, he passed away in 1995! Their lists are WAY out of date.

Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 03:39 PM by SDuderstadt
are only about 1 in 200,000. The fact that you haven't been polled reflects nothing more than how chance works. And, yes, I have been polled and our household is, in fact, a "Gallup Household", meaning we regularly participate in polls that Gallup conducts for numerous clients.

That's why I think they choose who to poll by the zip code, and my zip code would usually give right wing results.

But I haven't been polled this year as much as I have been in the past. Wonder if they don't like us since we're trending blue these days.

Quinnipac even left several messages. SurveyUSA did one for Roll Call or Capital Hill paper. American Research Group. And some local pollsters. We rarely ever answer the phone so, hey, Obama's doing better in MN that it looks like he is.
